25 stycznia 1278 roku, pierwszy „burmistrz” Henryk Toyte nadał akt lokacyjny naszemu miastu.  W rocznicę 745 lecia narodzin miasta w Barlineckim Ośrodku Kultury przedstawiono krótki rys historyczny tych wydarzeń przygotowany przez Muzeum Regionalne w Barlinku. W piątek 27 stycznia br. w Barlinku rozpoczęto świętowanie jubileuszu 745 lecia miasta. Uroczystość poprowadziła Anna Adamiok. W oficjalnej części uroczystości, wręczone zostały nagrody i wyróżnienia.

 Uchwałą Rady Miejskiej w Barlinku z dnia 29 XII 2021 roku tytuł „Honorowego Obywatela Miasta Barlinek” został przyznany pośmiertnie Józefowi Wawrzyniakowi. Tytuł odebrała żona, Janina Wawrzyniak.

W uznaniu zasług dla rozwoju Pomorza Zachodniego uchwałą nr 1/22 z dnia 5 stycznia 2022 roku Zarząd Województwa Zachodniopomorskiego nadał Złotą Odznakę Honorową Gryfa Zachodniopomorskiego Brygidzie Liśkiewicz. Odznakę wręczył Wicemarszałek Województwa Zachodniopomorskiego Olgierd Kustosz.

Uchwałami Rady Miejskiej w Barlinku z dnia 29 XII 2022 roku medale „Za zasługi dla Barlinka” zostały przyznane:                                 

  • Dorocie Kowalskiej
  • Joannie Solińskiej
  • Elżbiecie Kusej
  • Stanisławowi Rewersowi
  • Ludwikowi Lackowskiemu

W części artystycznej wystąpił zespół muzyczny z Choszczna w składzie: Magdalena Borowiecka, Tomasz Woś, Mateusz Jarosz oraz Dariusz Kamiński.
