Dobiegają końca prace przy modernizacji drogi powiatowej nr 2116Z na odcinku pomiędzy miejscowością Karsko w gminie Nowogródek Pomorski a skrzyżowaniem z drogą wojewódzką nr 151 w gminie Barlinek.

Inwestycja obejmuje fragment o długości około 2,3 km, który przez wiele lat wymagał pilnego remontu. Zły stan techniczny jezdni utrudniał ruch i wpływał na bezpieczeństwo uczestników ruchu drogowego.

Modernizacja była możliwa dzięki współpracy Powiatu Myśliborskiego z Gminą Barlinek oraz Gminą Nowogródek Pomorski. Całość inwestycji finansowana jest ze środków własnych samorządów. To przykład skutecznych działań lokalnych na rzecz poprawy infrastruktury i bezpieczeństwa mieszkańców.

W przyszłym roku planowany jest kolejny etap prac – remont nawierzchni drogi wojewódzkiej nr 151 na odcinku Barlinek–Łubianka oraz wykonanie połączenia na skrzyżowaniu obu dróg. Dzięki temu poprawi się komunikacja pomiędzy Barlinkiem, Karskiem i okolicznymi miejscowościami.
