W związku z wystąpieniem wysoce zjadliwej grypy ptaków na terenie powiatu myśliborskiego w miejscowości Rościn, Powiatowy Lekarz Weterynarii w Myśliborzu zaleca hodowcom drobiu przydomowego skrupulatne przestrzeganie zasad bioasekuracji w gospodarstwach utrzymujących drób. Obecnie obszar gminy Barlinek znajduje się poza obszarami: zapowietrzonym i zagrożonym wystąpieniem choroby drobiu, na którym wprowadzono restrykcje zgodnie z Rozporządzeniem Wojewody Zachodniopomorskiego.
